Eastlink Modems

Depending on where you live and when you first had Eastlink Internet installed, you will have one of the following Eastlink modems:

 

Arris DG 1670A WiFi modem (front and back)

WPS Button / LED
Begins associating the modem with a wireless device. LED indicates Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) is active.

Power
Indicates whether AC power is available to the modem.

3

US/DS
Indicates upstream/downstream connectivity.

Online
Indicates internet data transmission status.

5

2.4 GHz
Indicates the status of the 2.4 GHz wireless LAN.

6

5 GHz
Indicates the status of the 5 GHz wireless LAN.

7

MoCA
Indicates connecivity between the modem and other home devices connected via the MoCA network.

Description

1 Ethernet

Green LED is ON. Indicates a data connection is made.

2 USB*

For Windows computers only - DO NOT use the USB port to connect a MAC or a Linux Computer. If connected with Ethernet cable, you do not need to connect with USB. Ethernet is the preferred method of connectivity

3 Reset

Returns modem to default settings (custom configurations are removed and restarts the cable modem)

4 Cable

Indicators

A

Power: Indicates if AC power is plugged in and working properly or not.

B

DS: Indicates receiving information from Eastlink. The DS light may be yellow or green. Flashing indicates the modem has not found a channel to receive information yet.

C

US: Indicates sending signal to Eastlink. The US light may be yellow or green. Flashing indicates the modem has not found a channel to send information yet.

D

Online: Indicates modem is connected to Eastlink. Flashing indicates the modem is scanning for a network connection.

E

Link: The link light may be yellow or green. A flashing or solid light indicates that the modem is actively passing traffic to and from your home connection.
