Activating/Setting Up My Voicemail

Eastlink Voicemail will answer up to 4 calls simultaneously and can store up to 25 messages, each with a maximum length of 5 minutes.

To set up your Voicemail for the first time, follow these easy steps.

Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick Customers

  • Activate your Voicemail by pressing *99 from your home phone.
  • You will be guided through creating a password and recording your name and a personal greeting.

Ontario, Alberta & BC Customers

  • Activate your Voicemail by pressing *98 from your home phone.
  • You will be guided through creating a password and recording your name and a personal greeting.

Setting Up My Voicemail to Email

Voicemail to Email allows you to have your Voicemail messages directed to an email account, allowing you to:

  • Receive Voicemail messages to your email as an audio attachment so you can simply “open the attachment” and play the message.
  • Receive immediate email notification whenever a Voicemail message has been left at your home phone.
  • Save important Voicemail messages on your computer.

When you subscribed to Voicemail to Email, you would have provided us with an email address for your Voicemail messages to go to.  This is all that is necessary to activate and configure the service.
