Setting Up a Physical SIM on Your Mobile Phone

Insert your Eastlink Mobile SIM card into your phone and power it on. Your phone will guide you through the set up process. If you are asked to connect to a WiFi network during set up it is highly recommended that you do so, which will prevent you from using Mobile data during set up. For detailed instructions, find your phone from the list below.

How to Insert Your SIM Card

Apple iPhone: 1. Insert the SIM removal tool (included in the box) or a small pin into the hole on the SIM tray. The SIM tray is located on the right side of the device.
2. The SIM card tray will pop out when the SIM removal tool or pin is inserted. Pull the SIM card tray out of the slot.
3. Place the SIM card in the SIM card tray so that it matches the outline on the tray.
4. Push the SIM card tray back into the slot on the device. The hole on the end of the SIM card tray should be closer to the bottom of the device.

Place a call to 1-902-414-TEST (8378); you will hear a " Welcome to Eastlink" message. Please send a text message to 1-902-414-TEST(8378); you will receive an auto-reply message from Eastlink "Welcome to Eastlink the SMS test is successful. Free message."

2. Remove the device’s battery.
3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot. The SIM card slot will have a SIM card icon marked near it that will show you which direction to place the SIM card in.
4. Replace the battery. The side with the + and – symbols should be facing up and should line up with the pins in the battery compartment.
5. Replace the back cover.

Motorola moto e LTE: 1. Insert a finger nail in to the bottom corner of the device under the band around the device’s edge.
2. Gently remove the band.
3. With the screen side facing down: the SIM card slot will be on your right hand side. The SIM card slot will be marked with a tiny SIM card picture. Slide the SIM card into the slot with notched side of the SIM card first and the pad side facing you.
4. Replace the band.

LG Nexus 5: 1. Insert the SIM removal tool (included in the box) or a small pin into the hole near the SIM tray. The SIM tray is located on the right side of the device.
2. The SIM card tray will pop out when the SIM removal tool or pin is inserted. Pull the SIM card tray out of the slot.
3. Place the SIM card in the SIM card tray so that it matches the outline of the tray.
4. Push the SIM card tray back into the slot on the device. The writing on the SIM card should be facing the top of the device.
