HDMI: HDMI connector (provides up to High Def Dolby® Digital plus 7.1 audio) 4. Ethernet: Ethernet connection (disabled) 5. Ext IR input: connects to a remote control receiver accessory cable (not supplied) 6. Power connector: power connector
The DCX3400 is a digital High Definition DVR that includes features such as:
1. USB 2.0: disabled by default 2. Cursor select: Menu navigation selects menu options 3. Power button: turns the DVR on and off 4. Menu: press once to display the Quick Menu, twice for the Main Menu 5. Guide button: displays TV Listings 6. Info: displays current channel and program information 7. Format: change the aspect ratio of the receiver between 1080i, 480p, and 480i 8. Channel buttons: channel up or down
1. Cable in: connects coaxial cable from your cable outlet 2. RF out: allows coaxial connection of other devices such as TV or VCR 3. IEEE 1394 (firewire): disabled by default 4. YPbPr: delivers High Definition component video 5. Fixed audio out (R/L): digital audio output, disables the DVR's volume control 6. Variable audio out (R/L): digital audio output, allows TV & DVR volume to be controlled separately 7. SPDIF (Coax) | optical SPDIF: provides Dolby® Digital 5.1 audio 8. Video out (baseband): Standard Definition video connector 9. S-Video: Standard Definition S-Video input, provides better quality video than #8 10. M-Card: disabled by default 11. HDMI: HDMI connector. Provides High Definition Dolby® Digital plus 7.1 audio; 12. eSATA: external serial ATA hard drive connector 13. USB 2.0: disabled by default 14. IR: serial test connector (for Eastlink service technicians) 15. Ethernet: disabled by default 16. AC unswitched outlet: connect AC power cord from another device, such as a TV or VCR. We advise you plug your devices into an electrical outlet or power bar/surge protector at all times.
