  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the modem. If you also have a router (for home/wireless networking), please unplug its power cable as well
  • After 10-15 seconds, plug the modem back in and wait for the lights on the modem to begin coming back on, one by one
  • Once you see the correct light pattern on the modem, plug the router back in
  • Wait 10-15 seconds for the router to acquire the connection and send it out to your network, then test your connectivity – check webpages and email
  • If this didn’t work, check the following:
  • Have you moved the modem to a different room? When your modem was installed, only one outlet in your home was made active for Internet connectivity. If you’ve moved the modem since then, try moving it back to its original location.

  • For Windows computers, you can try running IE without Add-ons. This option can usually be found through your Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)
  • Also, most web browsers have an option to reset the browser to default settings. This can usually be found in the Advanced Settings of the browser Internet Options (Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset)
