Change Network Name & Password - Hitron CVE-30360



           



Not Your Modem - Click Here

   To access the settings of your WiFi modem:

  • Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.)
  • In the address bar, type: 192.168.0.1
  • Enter Username*: mso
  • Enter Password*: msopassword
  • Click Login
  • To Change the WiFi Password:
    • On the left-hand-side of the screen, select WiFi
    • Across the top of the screen, select the Security tab
    • Ensure the following:
      • Security Mode: WPA-Personal
      • WPA Mode: Auto (WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK)
      • Cipher Type: AES
      • Pre-Shared Key: Change the WPA Pre-Shared Key to the password you would like to use to connect to your WiFi network
      • Click Apply to save your changes

        Important Note: If you had been connected WiFi, you will be disconnected at this point, and will need to reconnect to the network with the password you have just configured.
  • To Change The WiFi Network Name (SSID)
    • On the left-hand-side of the screen, select WiFi
    • Across the top of the screen, select the Basic tab
    • Ensure the following:
      • WiFi ON/OFF: Enable
      • WiFi Mode: 11B/G/N Mixed
      • Channel: Auto
      • Channel Bandwidth: 20/40MHz
      • Primary SSID Name: Change the Primary SSID Name** to the name you would like to use for your WiFi Network
      • Ensure that the In-Service selection box has a check mark
      • Click Apply to save your changes

        Important Note: If you had been connected WiFi, you will be disconnected at this point, and will need to reconnect to the network with the password you have just configured.
