  • These upgrades are part of Eastlink’s commitment to offer the most competitive video services possible in a rapidly-advancing telecommunications industry. By upgrading you to our Digital TV service, Eastlink will be able to offer significantly more Digital and High Definition (HD) channels, service features like 1000’s of FREE OnDemand titles, Pay-Per-View access and enhanced functionality, including our Interactive Program Guide (iGuide).
  • If you currently have digital receivers (also known as set-top boxes) connected to all of the TV's in your home, no action is required.
  • If you do not, you can pick up your digital receiver(s) at any of our retail locations. Each receiver includes easy-to-follow installation instructions.

  • A digital receiver (aka set-top box) is a small electronic device that connects to your TV (similar to a VCR or DVD player) and enables Eastlink’s Digital TV service.
  • It is important that you have a digital receiver installed on all of the TV's that you plan to use. This will ensure that you do not experience any channel disruptions.
  • It is important to note that the date stated in your letter reflects when we will begin upgrading channels to Digital. After that date, you may begin to notice channel removals. We are committed to providing you with the best service possible and recommend that you have digital receivers installed on all of the TVs in your home before this date in order to ensure that you continue to enjoy Eastlink’s full range of TV services.
  • Yes. Cable, satellite and other types of TV services all require a digital receiver to be connected to each TV.
