When you're ready to arrange to have your services moved to your new home you can contact us with the following information:

  • Current Eastlink phone number or account number so we can look up your account
  • Your contact information during your move 
  • The address of your new home, including postal code
  • Preferred disconnection and connection dates

How to Make Moving Your Services Easier

Do I need to be at my new home when my services are connected?

We recommend that you are home at the time of install. If you cannot be home, please ensure you have a responsible person there to make any decisions on your behalf.

What do I need to do to prepare for my installation appointment?

Our Preparing for Your Installation page outlines what to expect before, during and after your appointment, and tips to help things run smoothly.

Will my account number change?

Yes, you will receive a new account number. If you pay by telephone or online banking, you will need to set up new payment information including the new account number.

Do I take my Eastlink equipment with me when I move?

Yes, if you are transferring your Eastlink services to your new home, pack all of your Eastlink equipment with any remotes and corresponding power cords and bring them to your new address. If you are bringing your existing equipment with you, your modem and receiver(s) must be present at the time of installation. You must also have equipment such as a TV to test the proper installation of services.

It also helps if you know how many rooms you'll need services in for your new home. You can also let us know if outlets and wiring are already installed for services like telephone, television or Smart Home.

  • Your contact information during your move 
  • Full mailing and street address of where you’re moving, including postal code
  • What services you are interested in connecting - Internet, Wireless TV, Smart Home, Home Phone, Mobile. Ask about how you can bundle and save.
  • Your preferred connection date so we can plan when to have your services installed.
  • If you're switching from another service provider, it will help to have your old account information available so we can help with the move.
